Wedderburn Market Day is the 4th Saturday of every month from 9am to 1pm.
Market Stalls include: Produce, Jewellery, plants, herbs, clothing, sausage sizzle etc.
The sun is finally shining and no more rain is showing on the radar. It looks like the wet weather has finally departed, but there is still significant water to drain away.
We decided to take a drive out to Logan this morning and check on the flood waters out there, in particular around Fentons Creek. Many places were just a sea of water as you will see in the video and photos we managed to take. With the amount of water around, there is no doubt the Avoca River will be flooding and Charlton will be sandbagging the town for the third time in recent months. I imagine that this time it will be worse than the last two times as there is just such a huge volume of water around.
The influx of locusts has certainly happened as promised. Despite all the spraying that has gone on to minimize the impact of the locust plague, they are here in force. It's almost like living in a cloud of locusts when walking around town and driving is even worse.
The invasion of the bowling green and tennis courts is of particular concern. The locusts are well on their way to eating the grass down to its roots. I'm not sure what can be done to redeem the situation with the sporting facilities once the locusts disappear.
