Another recent innovation on Loddon Alive has been the incorporation of a facility so that the Loddon Community can list Events occurring across the Shire. To add an Event, simply go to the Events menu item in the Top Menu. Anyone can add events, but of course you must be logged into the site in order to do so. You can use the Login menu item to Login to the site and also to create a new account if you don't have one. Creating a new account will also give you access to the Loddon Community Social Networking area where you can build a profile and connect with others across the Shire.
One of the most important aspects of listing events is the venue. You need to be very specific with your event's address as the system will create a map that visitors to the site can access when looking at your event. If they are not familiar with the area where the event is to be held, then this is a great way to provide clear directions.
When listing your events, please provide as much information as possible including contact information so people can find out more if they wish. If you have an external web site with complete information, then include it in the details so people can visit your web site.
