The 2011 Great Victorian Bike Ride will be in Loddon from 1st to 3rd December. This is an event not to miss and local residents can participate in the festive activities around the municipality.

Boort to Wedderburn via Mysia, Borung and Korong Vale

The Boort community is organising a bustling time for participants on the 2011 RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride. An opportunity for everyone to experience the district with bus tours visiting farm industry Simply Tomatoes, Aussie Wool Quilts and the Spanner Man.The local pool to host the large water inflatable donated by Bendigo YMCA. Walking distance from the camp site is Salute Oliva and New Mediterranean Winery showcasing local product. Art Exhibition in the Memorial Hall. Along Godfrey Street a carnival atmosphere with tasty food, real coffee and entertainment. A movie night on the edge of Little Lake Boort whilst viewing the fireworks. Don’t forget to purchase a raffle ticket to enter the draw in the formation flights over Boort, all funds going to Boort District Health (Boort Hospital). $10.00 per ticket.
Wedderburn - Barefoot bowls, tennis, swimming at the local pool, wood etching demonstration, camel rides along Nardoo Creek are some of the activities happening.
You may like to just take a quiet stroll through the local Museum & General Store and view the antiques of yesteryear, Wedderburn Tourism will have a demonstration on how eucalyptus oil is made at Hard Hill, a shuttle bus with gold coin donation will leave from the rest stop near Jacka Park. Or just sit back & relax with a cold drink or coffee and have a chat with some of the locals.
Board the bus to visit Inglewood and wander through the lovely antique shops and visit the “Blue Eucy Museum” or just enjoy a coffee and cake in one of their coffee shops or a cold drink and a chat in the local hotel (who also have Cappuccino’s).
Entertainment: 'Night Moves' supported by local college students, Karaoke, John Hobgen (singer), Fireworks display.
