Pyramid Hill  is the fourth largest town in the Shire of Loddon, it is approximately 100km directly north of Bendigo, 82km West of Echuca and 59 km South of Kerang. The town is the centre of the Tragowel Plains irrigation area which is changing rapidly, with approximately 400 farms.    Pyramid Hill is a very diverse farming area, with both irrigated and dry farming land. The local district produces a wide range of products such as cereals, cherries, dairy, herbs, peppermint tea, walnuts, apples, pigs, sheep, wool and cattle. The larger industries are Mawsons Quarry, Pyramid Salt works, Bushes pet food factory, and abattoirs.

Our small town and district has a population of about 500, a shopping centre comprising I.G.A supermarket & hard ware, Bendigo Bank agency, Miller’s Ag that services farmers, hairdressers, newsagent / post office, café/bakery/ Neighborhood House, Coffee Bank cafe, Bakery, hotel, Chemist, Variety shop, Op Shop, Butcher, Patchwork shop, Garage all located in the main precinct.

This community has a number of experienced tradesmen that includes builders, electricians, mechanic, and Welders.

The Development Committee manages the Pyramid Hill Caravan Park located on the edge of town in walking distance to main shopping area.  The Victoria Hotel has recently had extensive renovations and provides quality meals and comfortable accommodation.

We offer the following interests to people C.F.A & Fire brigade running, a Community Emergency Response Team, Senior Citizens, football, netball, golf, basketball, a swimming pool, tennis, karate, Patchwork group, cards and book clubs.

Pyramid Hill’s Museum has won a number of awards and is open Tuesdays or by appointment.

A must to do is Major’s Vision, the fabulous “HILL”. A walking track which meanders around the base of the Hill and a track that takes sight seers over the Hill with wonderful views and flora & fauna. This is a great spot to relax and enjoy a picnic with a barbeque and toilet facilities.
