Rostrata has been our family home for many years and we are delighted to offer you the experience of sharing part of the history and life style that has been enjoyed through the generations of our family. Take a journey back in time and relax while you experience the secluded, peaceful atmosphere of this farm. The garden is home to blue wrens and various native birds. Relax on the front veranda and watch the daily parade of the birds to the bird bath. Experience the soft sounds of nature with beautiful sunsets and the galaxies at night. A BBQ is provided in a paved area of the garden.

Located in the heart of Victoria’s Golden Triangle, Rostrata is a great base for touring, gold detecting and fishing. Also a great venue for bird watching, artist, and photography groups. Enjoy bush walking, cycling. Visit the historic cemeteries in the area. Bikes and helmets are provided for your use.

Visit the sites of the Welcome Stranger and John Flynn Memorial.

A short drive takes you to Kooyoora State Park and Melville Caves where the lookout offers a panorama view of the country side. BBQ and picnic areas are provided. Visit the award winning wineries on the area.

Tarnagulla Township is virtually untouched and has six buildings of “State Significance” and along with other interesting old buildings offers a glimpse of the rich gold mining past. Tarnagulla is also known as the Town of Churches.
