Smashing Mosaics is a local business run by Jude Raftis.  Jude has been an artist in one form or another for many years and in recent times has moved from a busy schedule with patchwork quilting into the world of mosaic art.

Jude's mosaics come in many forms, shapes and sizes including a large wall at the local Wedderburn College, part of the back wall of her house, mirrors, wall panels, pot plant holders and tables to name just a few.

Jude's eye for color is exceptional, a talent developed in her patchwork quilting time and now transferred to her mosaic art.

Another project involving further mosaic art on a large wall at the Wedderburn College is currently underway and expected to be completed shortly.  Both projects at the Wedderburn College have involved the students in a hands on manner where many of them have made and fired their own tiles to add to the projects.

Jude works from home and has an extensive collection of her work on display.  You can visit her workshop and gallery by appointment and she would love to show you around and talk about her mosaics.  Some works are for sale and orders can be taken to suit your specific requirement.
