The Loddon Neighbourhood House commenced operations in September 1990 and is run by a committee of management. The facility currently employs seven people which include a Co-ordinator, Adult Education Officer, Bookkeeper, three tutors and a Youth Worker. In addition to the actual employees there is approximately 20 to 25 volunteers who give their time and assist the house in running smoothly. More volunteers are always welcome.
Funding for operations comes from both the Department of Human Services and also Adult Education. The funding from these areas is not sufficient to run all the services provided by the Neighbourhood House and they do fundraising to assist with day to day running costs.
The house offers a wide variety of courses to the public and their current programme can be viewed on their webpage. You will find a link at the foot of this page.
